Stress Free Jobs- Finding A Career With Little To No Stress

While many experts believe that there is really no such thing as stress free jobs, they do seem to agree that some jobs have low levels of stress while others are higher on that scale.  However, to tell if a job will be very stressful on a person, they need to determine what kind of job they are suited for and what requirements must be provided by their ideal job.

In general, if a person has some control over their job outcomes, and it pays well for doing a good job and the atmosphere is pleasant, then their  stress level is likely to be low.

Stressors in the Workplace

Some experts are confident that certain jobs require a lower degree of responsibility and precision without being free of stress. Andre Werker, a workplace stress expert, also says that a prospective employee should not base their job choice on those factors only because that type of job may become boring very quickly.

Another stress management expert, Laurence Shatkin, wrote a book on the subject which is named “150 Best Low Stress Free Jobs.” In the book he has a list of a few things he believes are the best indicators:

How many hours in the work week
How much time is given to finish a job
How many others are competing with the employee
How accurate the completed job must be
How easy it is to get along with the co-workers and bosses
How often public speaking is required
How pleasant the work area is
How the employee’s decisions affect others
How the employee’s morals are affected

It has been shown that when a person has attained a higher level of learning, the likelihood of physical problems that can be induced by stress and anxiety is much lower. A diseased heart and issues with blood pressure are two of the most commonly seen seen problems in people with a lower level of education who live at the poverty level and do mundane work.
